As part of the Innovation Funding portfolio, Health Innovation Manchester delivers the Momentum Fund, seeking innovations that have the potential to directly benefit the Greater Manchester and Cheshire East Healthcare system.

As part of each round of Momentum Funding, a total of £150k is made available across the programme to support appropriate evaluation activities. For each call, the focus varies per Momentum Funding round and in the past has searched for solutions to address the demand for imaging services, tracking and transporting for diagnostic and sample management services, and looking for innovative ways to utilise skills across the NHS workforce.

The Momentum Fund is currently closed. More updates will be shared as the next round of funding opens.

The initial proposal is open to all applicants. This will then be reviewed by GM System leaders patient representative groups and clinical experts, with shortlisted applicants invited to deliver a pitch/presentation and a short video to the review panel.
