We have established the Academic Partnership Group (APG), a sub-group of the Health Innovation Manchester Board, which includes senior leadership from across our higher education and research infrastructure. Together they are global leaders for health and social care education.

The group has been set up to:

• Provide the strategic leadership of research and its translation, ensuring that Greater Manchester positions itself successfully to attract major research and innovation funding.
• Ensure there is a constant pipeline of translational research feeding our innovation programmes and subsequent deployment across Greater Manchester.
