Manchester Academic Health Science Centre (MAHSC), part of Health Innovation Manchester, invites clinical staff to apply for funding through the MAHSC Cancer Domain.

The funding will provide the opportunity to invest in projects and initiatives that will help in the delivery of the Domain’s objectives, namely, to support transformational change in cancer-related life sciences for the benefit of Greater Manchester patients and citizens.

£94,000 is available for a number of projects that will further the Cancer Domain of MAHSC’s key objectives and applicants will be able to apply for an allocation of these funds with a maximum of £30,000.

Funding proposals need to address one or more of the following domain priorities:

  • Develop and evaluate high-impact cancer innovations that improve early diagnosis, survival, care, and the patient experience
  • Act to reduce inequalities in all aspects of the Cancer Domain
  • Stimulate, support, and champion Greater Manchester research, education, and innovation
  • Align research, education, and clinical care missions to improve patient outcomes and population health

Applications should be made on the application form below and submitted to Y.clooney@nhs.net before the closing date of Friday 19th August 2022.
