Bridging the gap – AHSN Network event

Join us at Bridging the Gap Online where you will hear from Chief Officers and Commercial Directors from across The AHSN Network, as well as senior leaders from the NHS and Office for Life Sciences.

The event will run over two days on Thursday 11 and Friday 12 March and will include strategic updates and sessions designed to help you navigate the NHS. You will be able to join panel discussions, workshops and hear about 1:1 advice sessions at a fully subsidised event that’s open to all health technology companies.

Keynote plenary and panel discussion

  • Thursday 11 March, 10:00 – 11:30 – The opening plenary and panel discussions will hear from Piers Ricketts, Chair of The AHSN Network and CEO Eastern AHSN, Matt Whitty, CEO, Accelerated Access Collaborative and Julia Dudley, Deputy Director, Innovation and Growth, Office for Life Sciences about how the NHS is currently working with innovators and how you can access support and advice.

Workshops

Workshops will focus on some of the key challenges that innovators experience when seeking to work or engage with the NHS and how they can be overcome. Tailor your own event by choosing which of the three workshops you’d like to join over the two days to match your needs and interests.

  • Thursday 11 March, 14:30 – 16:00 – Market insights & innovator support – If you are unfamiliar with the NHS and or have been frustrated by not knowing how it really works this taster session will introduce you to both the challenges you may face and the support available to help you to identify factors you will need to consider as you approach and engage with the NHS. Led by KSS AHSN and NENC AHSN

 

  • Friday 12 March, 10:00 – 11:30 – Success factors for implementation of digital and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies – Since early 2020 the accelerated adoption of digital technology across the NHS has been astonishing. This session will provide practical advice and insights to support you in developing, implementing and scaling digital technologies and incorporating machine learning and AI to improve population health. Led by Eastern AHSN

 

  • Friday 12 March, 13:00 – 14:30 – Implementation of a novel diagnostic test: Overcoming barriers to clinical adoption – Adoption of new technologies in the NHS can be slow but when achieved can deliver positive transformative change. This session will explore the typical challenges faced in achieving adoption of a new technology in a healthcare setting and look at how to develop strategies to overcome them. Led by Oxford AHSN.
