NIHR Greater Manchester Patient Safety Translational Research Centre (NIHR Greater Manchester PSTRC)
The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Greater Manchester Patient Safety Translational Research Centre (Greater Manchester PSTRC) is a partnership between The University of Manchester and Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust.
Working closely with the University of Nottingham, the centre’s main aim is to improve patient safety within and between healthcare settings. It does this through its research, which takes place across four research themes:
- Medication Safety
- Safer Care Systems and Transitions
- Safety in Marginalised Groups
- Safety Informatics
