During this time, he also contributed to cyber security initiatives and served as Head of Relationship Management for the organisation’s partnership with CQC, NHS Improvement, and NHS England.
Following this, he moved to Leeds Teaching Hospitals, leading technical infrastructure and data, before joining NHS Wales as Director of Digital for the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust (WAST). At WAST, he held several national digital positions related to Urgent and Emergency Care and CIO leadership.

On his appointment, Andy said:
“I’m hugely excited about joining Health Innovation Manchester due to the truly unique position they’ve worked to build across the Greater Manchester eco-system, and the opportunities that presents. I’m passionate about using data and technology to reshape the health and social care system around the needs of the patient, in a way that provides equity of access to the best possible care, free at the point of need.”

“I’m delighted to welcome Andy to Health Innovation Manchester and to our executive leadership team. Andy brings deep experience across digital, data and system leadership, alongside a clear commitment to using technology and insight to improve outcomes for patients and populations.
