World Thrombosis Day

One in four people worldwide die from causes related to thrombosis (abnormal, life-threatening blood clots that form in the artery or vein). Without addressing this disease head on, we cannot meet the World Health Assembly’s global target to reduce premature non-communicable mortality by 25 percent by 2025. World Thrombosis Day focuses attention on the often overlooked and misunderstood condition of thrombosis.
