Webinar – Pulmonary Rehabilitation: What is the new normal?
Webinar
COVID-19 has significantly disrupted the delivery of face-to-face pulmonary rehabilitation services for patients with long-term respiratory conditions. Clinicians in pulmonary disease are now seeking and implementing new ways to reach both digitally included and digitally excluded patients
The AHSN Network is bringing healthcare providers and industry together to share best practice and proven innovations. This webinar and Q&A session on Wednesday 9 December at 2pm, will address the issues that pulmonary rehabilitation teams have faced as a result of COVID-19 and present ideas on how to tackle the issues.
The session will be chaired by Professor Mike Roberts, Managing Director of UCL Partners AHSN, and a respiratory physician. Attendees will also hear from Dr Andrew Menzies Gow, NHS Clinical Director for Respiratory Services who will outline the challenges currently facing pulmonary medicine. Dr Stuart Berry Respiratory & IT Lead at East Lancashire Clinical Commissioning Group will describe his experience in supporting Pulmonary Rehabilitation, both through leading edge digital apps and innovations, but also with simple, low cost, low tech things that are underused. There will also be two additional presentations from groups of practitioners and innovators from Nottinghamshire and Staffordshire on their experiences of rolling out virtual services.
The event is free and open to anyone responsible for planning and delivering care for patients with long-term respiratory conditions.
