University of Manchester Confidence in Concept 2020 Launch

The University of Manchester has secured funding from the eighth round of the UKRI Medical Research Council (MRC) Confidence in Concept (CiC) scheme. An information event for the UoM CiC 2020 will be held online (via Zoom) on Friday 3 April 2020 to share experience from the previous rounds of the programme and provide guidance to potential applicants on how to prepare a competitive CiC proposal.

The speakers include UKRI MRC Programme Managers Dr Agnes Leung and Dr Alex Phillips from the Developmental Pathway Funding Scheme (DPFS), UoM CiC Lead Academic Dr Sam Butterworth, and UoM/CiC Programme Manager Dr Anu Suokas. The event will finish with a ‘1:1‘ Advice Session (via Zoom) to provide an opportunity to get feedback on your translational project ideas including applications for DPFS funding – please see the Advice Session booking details below. 15-minute advice slots available to discuss your translational project ideas including applications for DPFS funding

If you request a 1:1 with MRC DPFS Programme Manager, you will be asked to submit max 1-page outline of your study proposal prior to the event. Please note that DPFS proposals can be given longer time slots.
