The GMCR: What is it and how can it help you deliver safer patient care?

Online/Webinar

This lunch and learn webinar will showcase how the GM Care Record is making a difference to health and social care professionals across Secondary care as well as Community, Mental Health and Local Authority.

We want to explain what the GM Care Record is, show you some of the key features available to you and how they are already supporting health and care staff.

This webinar will focus on how the GMCR is serving the needs of these sectors and how it is driving improvements in patient care and pathways. We will hear from an array of speakers who are currently – or planning to – use the GMCR sharing their knowledge and experiences of how they have been digitally enabled as a result of the GMCR.

Dr Alex Parker, Medical Registrar at MFT explains

“Personally I find it invaluable to the running of the acute medical take and I would suspect that all medical colleagues who are on the general medical rota and involved in acute admissions work would use this on their on-call shifts.

I use it to access GP records on patient prescriptions as well as details of past diagnoses. It is also helpful for accessing blood test sent from primary care where they are using a lab service other than MFT (i.e. not otherwise visible to us).”

If you are involved in the delivery of care and interested in finding out how the GMCR can make things easier for you and how its making care better for patients, this is the event for you.

This session will be interactive and will include a series of discussions and activities to ensure we understand how you want to use the GM Care Record.
