Developing as a Leader: Centre for Academic and Research Development (CARD)

This workshop will provide an introduction to leadership and management in a research setting and will give you time to reflect on the leadership style/approaches that suit you and allow you to grow and develop your research and your career.

By the end of this workshop you will:

  • Be aware of key concepts and theories in leadership and management
  • Have considered what leadership styles and theories and debated the advantages and disadvantages of applying a specific style to research teams and projects
  • Have increased self-awareness about your own personal leadership and management style
