To mark International Women’s Day 2019, NIHR Clinical Research Network, Greater Manchester, is hosting an event to celebrate the contribution of women to clinical research in our region.
The event will be held at at their office in Citylabs 1.0, on Nelson Street, Manchester, on Friday 8 March. Women and men are both very welcome!
Here in Greater Manchester, we have a wealth of instrumental women leading and contributing to research at all levels.
A selection of these women have kindly agreed to speak – to share their stories, celebrate the diversity in workforce, and hopefully inspire others.
Speakers will include (full list TBC):
- Sarah Fallon, CRN GM Deputy Chief Operating Officer
- Dr Manju Luckson, CRN GM Assistant Delivery Manager
- The creators of the fantastic Wonder Women series, developed by R&D North West
- Dr Ed Johnstone, Consultant Obstetrician, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust
There will also be plenty of opportunity for networking.
Refreshments and food will be provided.
We would love for you to join us.
During the event, the organisers also be showcasing a new CRN project that is being carried out to profile R&I teams across the network.
The Clinical Research Network Greater Manchester delivers research to make patients, and the NHS, better and strives to actively involve patients and the public in the development of research studies so that more people take part.
