GIRFT webinar: Improving patient flow for acute coronary syndrome (ACS)

GIRFT and the Cardiac Pathways Improvement Programme (CPIP) have worked collaboratively to develop a new ACS guide, based on a combination of evidence-based clinical guidance and effective practice identified through system visits.

Professor Simon Ray, GIRFT clinical lead for cardiology will host this webinar, sharing the new good practice guide, showing how the guide can be used to improve the flow of ACS patients.

We will be joined by the following speakers:

  • Dr Ranjit More, consultant cardiologist atBlackpool Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, who will share his experience of implementing this pathway at his trust.
  • Dr Farzin Fath-Ordoubadi, consultant cardiologist at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, who will present an example of providing dedicated ACS patient transport in Greater Manchester, reducing delays in accessing care.
