Daily Pressure Reports (DPRs) use site specific Emergency Department data to monitor and predict activity and ‘pressure’ within the urgent care system. This enables locally sensitive escalation measures to be set and allows systems to develop cause and effect models to avoid poor performance.
Each DPR contains a detailed explanation of the site’s activity and “pressure” whilst highlighting any required actions and potential impacts on capacity and performance. A performance dashboard accompanies the report, displaying current activity and highlighting the impact of both typical and special events. DPRs provide benchmarking data across specific regions, providing system leaders with detailed information on performance across neighbouring localities.
